Taylor's First Baseball Game!

Since Taylor joined the baseball team late, he did not have his jersey for the first couple of games, but thank goodness we have a die hard Yankees fan in the family that had already supplied Taylor with a Yankees shirt!

First time at bat, he connects and sends it towards 2nd base!

Taylor loves sitting on the bench with his teammates, but Taylor seems to always be the only one that truly watches the game instead of playing around.

Taylor is one of the youngest on his team by like over a year, but he likes interacting with the older kids!
Coming in fast at 3rd base!
Ready to head home!

Still waiting patiently on 3rd!

Congratulations to Niki Torres Thompson!

At the end of May, my mom, my sister-in-law, and I hosted a bridal luncheon and spa day for the newlywed Mrs. Niki Leigh Torres Thompson. It was so much fun, we had a lovely lunch at the Fort Worth Club with gorgeous flower arrangements designed by my dear friend, Alicia Rico and her husband, Adam, of bows and arrows in Dallas. It was a vintage theme with various shades of purple and ivory with touches of green in Alicia's special collection of milkglass. Just beautiful! Alicia helped bring my idea of a wish/dream tree to life, thank you so very much!

Kimberly was trying to get a photo of me all day. I do not like having photos taken of me and she knows it so I decided to give her a cheesy photo! So Kimberly this one is for you...I even put it on my blog!!!

The MOB enjoying the spa day and the vino!

Congratulations Niki and Cole Thompson!!!

I had the honor of reading the Scripture Reading at the wedding. Niki, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day!

Here is my heart, Mommy!

I was putting favors together for a wedding shower and instead of just doing a circle hole punch I used a heart shaped hole punch. I know, its the details that I am obsessed about! Taylor thought it was so neat that it made tiny hearts that I just discarded once I had punched the hole...not really thinking twice about it. Taylor started playing with the little tiny hearts, but he wanted his to be red instead of the ivory paper that I was using. So we got out the red construction paper and he started to punch tons of heart shaped holes in the red paper. He picked one single tiny heart out of the pile and said..."Mommy here is my heart that I am giving to you to put on your heart." As he placed the tiny heart on my heart with his tiny hands, my heart melted. It was so sweet. But he was not content when the heart fell off of my heart so the little smarty pants that he is, he ended up taping the little red heart on top of me heart. So sweet that I could not bring myself to remove it before heading out the door to run errands. Not thinking about it, I was trying on somethings at Neimans and a good friend, Katie, simple asked..."what is on your chest?" From far away you could not tell it was taped so she thought I got a red heart tattooed to my chest. Too funny, but definitely a very cute and thoughtful gesture from my 3 year old!

So the photo below is of the heart taped to my chest not a photo of my chest...just clarifying!

Daddy was jealous that Mommy got a heart so he asked Taylor where his heart was, so Taylor made one for Daddy as well! Now the two hearts are in the journal with the story of them that I am writing for Taylor.

School is out for Summer!

Taylor was so sad that school let out for summer! He just could not understand why you would not go to school in the summer. He obviously has not figured the whole school thing out, but I love the fact that he enjoys school this much! Here are a few photos from his end of the year party with all of his friends.

Taylor sitting by his best friend, Leah, waiting on his popsicle!

And it was orange for both!

Taylor had so much fun eating popsicles with all of his friends!

Now playtime!

Driving the boat...

Taylor and Leah were following each other around the whole time!

Every move Taylor made so did Leah.

Seriously every step...too cute. They are really going to miss each other!

Hand in Hand!

Taking a cruise around the playground one last time.

It has been a great year, can't wait for next year! Hopefully we get a teacher as good as Mrs. Bevil, she is going to be hard to beat!
