Taylor Loves to Talk on the Phone!

Taylor talking to Uncle Ricky, wondering when he can drive his boat...

For any of you who have had the opportunity to talk to Taylor on the phone, you know that you can hardly understand what he is saying.  One thing that he always does when he is on the phone whether its Daddy, Gigi, PawPaw, or Uncle Ricky he does roll call.  Which Taylor's roll call is he will literally say everyone's name in our family and wants to know exactly what they are doing.  You cannot talk to him about anything else until he knows where everyone is.  He then proceeds to tell you exactly what his is doing at that moment.

Whenever I am on a phone call he will grab the phone and say Mommy, my phone and I want to talk - so for those of you who are lucky enough to talk to Taylor on the phone be ready to know where everyone is.

Finger Painting by Taylor Ryan

Taylor's Artwork (Lipstick) on Mommy's Bathroom Floor

Taylor trying to help Mommy clean it up!

Taylor watches me put on my makeup and usually just plays with the brushes.  Once I got up to get dressed he decided he wanted to play with Mommy's lipstick.  I came back into the bathroom from the closet and discovered the painting that Taylor had made for me.  He looked up at me in a way knowing that he had done something wrong, but at the same time he was so proud of it he said...Mommy, look at what I did?!?!?!?  I bit my tongue and said, I love it, but next time we need to use paper not the bathroom floor.  So then he saw me getting the cleaner to clean it up so he got a spray bottle with water and started trying to clean it up for me.  Too cute!  Note to everyone lipstick is pretty hard to get out of grout, but definitely doable!

Kameron's 10th Grade Valentine's Dance!

Kameron & Jenna before they went to the Valentine's Dance!  The Valentine's Dance is basically treated like the prom at Plano.  The group rented a limo, had dinner reservations at Maggiano's, and ended the night with a little party - I guess the only difference is the fact that they do not have to wear a tux and a gown.

It's Crawfish Season!

Daddy showing Taylor the Crawfish!
Taylor did not want to touch the crawfish, he just wanted to watch them!

For those of you who don't know Mark, he is an avid crawfish cooker and eater!  He loves the crawfish season so much that we have weekend crawfish boils at our house, so exciting!  Taylor will not play with the live ones, but he will play with them as soon as they are dead - however he has not attempted to try one just quite yet.  Maybe next year!

My Sleeping Prince

My Sleeping Prince

Taylor is so peaceful when his sleeps, I love just watching him and wondering what he is dreaming about!  He has his two favorite things with him every time he sleeps, his blankie and doggie!

Taylor's 1st Fishing Pole

Getting ready to catch a Whopper!
Reeling it in!
Dangling it out there so the fish will bite!

Taylor's 1st Fishing Pole

At the beginning of February, Uncle Ricky & Aunt Beth took Taylor for his first trip to The Bass Pro Shop.  He had a great time looking at all the fish and Uncle Ricky let him drive a boat!  While they were there they purchased his first fishing pole, it is a little red pole that lights up when you cast it.  When they got home, Taylor was so excited that he wanted to go outside by the pool and catch himself a fish.  Kameron spent an hour with Taylor by the pool, teaching him how to cast and reel the fish in (I hope I am using proper fishing terms, if not Rick let me know).  He loves the fishing pole, since that day we spend at least an hour a day practicing his fishing skills.  He can't wait to go out in Uncle Ricky's boat to go fishing!

Kameron's 10th Grade Football Banquet

Kameron's 10th Grade Plano West Football Banquet

We attended Kameron's first Football Banquet in late January.  His date of course was Jenna Mitchell.  It was amazing to see how much goes into this banquet, it was over the top.  Sit down four course meal, that was actually good, and tens of thousands of dollars spent to put on this football banquet.  It was a great event to experience with Kameron, I can't wait for his senior year, it will definitely be bittersweet!

2009

Wishing you much Happiness in the New Year (2009)!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful 2009 so far!  We have been extremely busy, but it has been a joyous journey.  This year we have already celebrated Hayden's 10th Birthday, which was on January 29th.  We had a party for him at the indoor bounce house.  Jordan was able to come home and visit over the weekend of February 14th, it was great to see him and have the whole family back together.  All of the boys had a great time together.  Kameron has just completed his first defensive driving class for this year and is getting excited to take the SAT Test in March.  Taylor Ryan is just growing so fast...he is starting to form sentences like - the other night I asked him what he wanted for dinner and his response was simply...Mommy, I want ummm...ummm...I want food.  It was the cutest thing ever.

I have decided to start a blog this year in hopes to keep everyone updated on our family!  I hope you enjoy the stories and photos!
